Mentorship? What is that? How could it help me get the job or the career I want? How do I find a mentor? If you have ever asked these questions, attend the next interVivos lunch and find the answers to these questions and how the role of a mentor could impact your life and career. You will get to interact with potential mentors and key people from Edmonton’s creative industries and non-profits. You’ll do this during small group round table discussions. Food is included in the cost of registration.
Our Small Group Mentorship Lunch Will Feature:
Ken Bautista, mentorship guru, is the CEO and co-founder of Rocketfuel Games. Ken has also been recognized in Avenue Magazine's Top 40 Under 40 and was featured in Alberta Venture Magazine's "Next Up" series. Ken is also the co-founder of several key next gen initiatives in Edmonton: artsScene Edmonton, Startup Edmonton, TEDxEdmonton and Flightpath Ventures.
Michael Brechtel, mentorship guru, is the Director of Strategy at McRobbie Optamedia. Michael was the founding chair of interVivos, founding co-chair of artsScene Edmonton and TEDxEdmonton and one of the four “instigators” of the Reboot Alberta movement. He currently sits on the board of directors of the Alberta Party. He was named one of Edmonton’s “Sizzling 20 Under 30 for 2008, recognized as a “Next Up” by Alberta Venture in 2010 and as one of Edmonton’s 2010 40 under 40.
Janelle Aker-Johnston and Sharlene Rutherford—mentorship duo extraordinaire! Sharlene Rutherford and Janelle Aker-Johnston were participants in interVivos’ mentorship program in 2010. With similar backgrounds in journalism and communications in the not for profit sector, Sharlene and Janelle instantly clicked. Sharlene is the Vice President of the Lois Hole Hospital for Women.
