COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT
Since 2006, our community engagement events have brought Edmontonians together to get informed about issues that matter to them. The events are non-partisan but the discussions are frequently political in nature. We cover a range of topics such as elections, the environment, and feminism. Each occasion provides the opportunity for attendees to engage with each other and the speakers in a safe and non-judgmental space.

A Referendum Affair
Big questions. Different perspectives. A space to talk about them.
On Sunday, October 18, 2026, from 2–5 p.m. at 99ten (9910 109 Street NW, Edmonton), interVivos is bringing Edmontonians together for A Referendum Affair, an afternoon of thoughtful, non-partisan conversation about issues shaping Alberta’s future.
We’ll explore three topics:

Separation with Danielle Paradis
Conversations will be guided by trained facilitators and brought together by our emcee, Joshua Wolchansky.
This isn’t a panel or traditional political forum. Attendees will be divided into small groups of approximately 8–10 people and rotate through discussions on each of the three topics. At each table, a guest speaker will share their perspective and a trained facilitator will guide the conversation, giving participants the opportunity to ask questions, listen to different viewpoints and share their own experiences and perspectives.
Already voted? You should still come. A Referendum Affair isn’t just about making a decision at the ballot box. It’s about understanding how our neighbours see these issues, having conversations we don’t often get to have and creating space for different perspectives in our community.
