First, I want to take a moment to thank each of you for your commitment to interVivos. Being part of this board means balancing a lot—work, personal life, and of course, the time and energy it takes to keep interVivos running. And yet, despite the challenges, you continue to show up, push our mission forward, and make a real impact.
Reflecting on 2024-2025
This past year has been another important chapter in interVivos’ journey. We celebrated our anniversary with a fantastic mixer that brought together our community and reinforced why we do what we do. We successfully ran a mentorship program focused on BIPOC mentors, an initiative that strengthens our commitment to equity, diversity, inclusion, and accessibility (EDIA). We also put in serious work on strategic planning to ensure that interVivos remains relevant, sustainable, and impactful in the years ahead.
At the same time, we welcomed new board members who have brought fresh ideas and energy to our team. Their contributions have been invaluable, and I’m excited to see how their involvement continues to shape our work.
Of course, we all know that one of the biggest challenges this year has been balancing interVivos with our other commitments. Every one of us is juggling professional and personal responsibilities, and it hasn’t always been easy. But despite that, we have continued to show up, adapt, and keep the organization moving forward. That’s a testament to the strength of this board and the passion we all have for this work.
Looking Ahead to 2025-2026
As we turn our focus to the upcoming year, things aren’t slowing down. In fact, we’re gearing up for an even busier year ahead. We have:
Two mentorship programs in the works, giving us an opportunity to expand our reach and impact.
Two election events, including one where you all will be thrown right into the action—something that aligns perfectly with our mission of civic engagement.
Continued efforts to finalize our strategic plan in the coming weeks and strengthen the organization’s long-term sustainability.
Acknowledgments
This year, we say goodbye to Suparna, a valued member of our board. Her dedication, insights, and contributions have helped shape interVivos in so many ways. Suparna, we’re incredibly grateful for your time with us, and we know you’ll continue to do amazing things wherever you go.
We’re also saying farewell to Kathryn, one of our dedicated board interns. Kathryn, your enthusiasm and fresh perspective have been so appreciated. Thank you for being part of interVivos, and we wish you all the best in what comes next.
Final Thoughts
I want to end by recognizing the incredible work that all of you do. interVivos wouldn’t exist without the passion, energy, and dedication that each of you brings to this board. Whether it’s running our programs, supporting our initiatives, or making sure we’re always moving forward, your contributions matter.
Thank you for your commitment, your ideas, and your time. We have an exciting year ahead, and I’m looking forward to seeing what we accomplish together.
