It has been a meaningful year for interVivos, and I am proud of what we have accomplished together. As President, I am deeply grateful to the board members, volunteers, supporters, and community members who continue to give their time, energy, and care to this organization.
Over the past year, interVivos has continued to advance its mission of cultivating leadership through dialogue, engagement, and mentorship. As a volunteer-run organization, everything we do depends on people stepping up, and this year that commitment has been especially clear.
A core part of interVivos is creating welcoming, thoughtful, and accessible spaces for people to connect. We continue to work toward being a safe space for dialogue, learning, and community-building, where people feel respected, included, and able to show up as themselves. We are also proud to offer low-cost events that help keep participation accessible.
While we did not run a mentorship program this past year, mentorship remains central to who we are. I am excited that we are planning to deliver two mentorship programs and one community engagement event in the year ahead, and continue creating meaningful opportunities for connection, growth, and learning.
This year has also been one of transition and organizational strengthening. As a volunteer-led organization with no staff, it is important that we continue building strong governance, thoughtful onboarding, and sustainable practices that will support interVivos into the future.
This is also an exciting time for interVivos as we prepare to celebrate our 20th anniversary. Reaching this milestone is a remarkable achievement for a volunteer-run organization and speaks to the dedication of the many people who have shaped interVivos over the past two decades. It is a chance to celebrate our history, recognize the people who built this community, and build momentum for the future.
I also want to recognize the people joining or continuing on the board. I am looking forward to working with Anurika, Bumo, and Sherie, and I am excited about what each of you will bring to interVivos. I am also looking forward to welcoming Sophia as our FORA Board Member Intern.
To those continuing for another term, thank you. Fea and Nikki, I will miss being on the Executive with both of you, but I am very glad you will still be here for another year. Your legacy over the past several years has shaped this organization in important ways, and I am grateful you will continue to be part of interVivos. Charvi, thank you for your enthusiasm and ideas. Navneet, thank you for your continued involvement and for stepping up for the Treasurer role.
I also want to offer a heartfelt thank you to Jay, Lisa, and Elsie. Jay, thank you for your contributions to the organization and for the time you invested in interVivos. Lisa and Elsie, although you joined us as student interns, I learned so much from both of you. Your thoughtfulness and contributions have made the organization stronger, and I am very grateful for all you brought to interVivos.
More broadly, thank you to all of our board members for your commitment, professionalism, and care for the organization. So much of this work happens behind the scenes, but it matters deeply. interVivos runs because people continue to step up.
As we look ahead, I am excited for what is to come. We have strong momentum and important opportunities ahead to continue strengthening our community, offering accessible programming, delivering two mentorship programs and one community engagement event, and celebrating 20 years of interVivos in a meaningful way.
Thank you again to everyone who contributed to interVivos this past year. It is a privilege to serve as President, and I am proud of what we have accomplished together.
