interVivos is excited to announce the launch of our Fall 2023 Mentorship Program, commencing on Wednesday, August 23, 2023. This six-month program will run from September 2023 to February 2024.

The Fall 2023 Mentorship Program is dedicated to amplifying the voices of volunteer mentors who identify as women, trans, and gender-diverse. Through this program, we aim to showcase their remarkable work and contributions.
This Edmonton-based program offers volunteer mentors the opportunity to connect with individuals from diverse backgrounds and experiences, regardless of their own gender identity. Protégés need not identify as women, trans, or gender-diverse to take part. interVivos will ensure a safe environment for participants to openly share their experiences during the program. Our open-door policy is designed to foster trust and provide unwavering support.
No specific age or level of experience is required; the only prerequisite is an eagerness to learn, grow, and make a positive impact within the community.
Mentors and protégés alike are expected to embrace diverse perspectives while focusing on common ground, commit to meeting at least 3 times with their match, and establish clear goals to guide their journey.
Recognizing the challenges posed by current times and inflation concerns, we have diligently worked to maintain consistent pricing and ensure the program's accessibility. Our program strives to be affordable and accessible to all. Protégés can select their fee based on their financial circumstances, and these fees (ranging from $55 to $75) directly contribute to our non-profit expenses. Additionally, we offer complimentary spots to local non-profit organizations.
Mentorship Launch Details
Eleven mentors will meet eleven protégés at our in-person program launch to determine who is the best for them during the program. Here are some important launch details:

Refreshments: Very light snacks will be provided. Food and drinks menus are available if you want to pay for your own items.
The launch will include a series of speed-rotations, where mentors and protégés in pairs will discuss their goals and expectations in short 7-minute conversations.
Participants rank their choices at the end of the evening on a Google form sent via email after the launch, and interVivos makes the final matches in early September.
Our organization provides you with resources and support to help you with the launch and the 6-month program, including a mandatory Zoom orientation scheduled for one hour on Monday, August 21, at 6 pm.
Our launch emcee is Brooks Arcand-Paul. NDP MLA for Edmonton-West Henday, Official Opposition Critic for Indigenous Relations & Reconciliation.
